The type of personal information we collect

Personal information. Such as your name and email address which you provide when you sign up to our newsletter and consent to receive information from me. We use that information to contact you regarding the provision of my services, updates to the business and information. Invoicing information. Such as your Company name, VAT number, telephone, invoicing address, town, country, postal code, bank details, PO numbers etc. that you provide to us when you choose to buy our Services. I use such information to identify you and for invoicing purposes, as applicable.
Legal responsibilities. To protect our business operations and comply with UK Laws, we reserve the right to supply Government Agencies with relevant information on request. This includes but is not limited to: Police, HMRC, Trading Standards, etc.

The source of the usage data is Google Analytics and Squarespace Analytics. Squarespace and Google Analytics needs the data to run this website, and to protect and improve its platform and services. We also use this software to collect information about how you use my site. We do this to help make sure the site is meeting the needs of its users and to help me make improvements, for example improving site search. The usage data collected is needed to:
(1) deliver the content of my website correctly
(2) optimise the content of my website
(3) ensure the long-term viability of my information technology systems and website technology
(4) provide law enforcement authorities with the information necessary for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack.

Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share for marketing purposes your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. We do share Personal Information with vendors who are performing services for the Company, such as the servers for my email communications who are provided access to user’s email address for purposes of sending emails from me.

Sensitive Personal Data is neither requested nor collected by us generally. Sensitive Personal Data includes for example information relating to race or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, and health. If you do provide us with Sensitive Personal Data because we have agreed between us that such disclosure is necessary, you must also explicitly consent to us using it for the purposes for which it has been provided.

Our basis for processing

Signing up to our newsletter list is by your consent – and when you withdraw your consent we stop that processing your data. Apart from that, the information we hold is based on our needing the information to run our business and provide our products and services – either so we can perform our contract with you, or because we have a legitimate business interest in processing your data. In a few situations, we are processing personal data because we are under a legal obligation to do so. This principally relates to our business, accounting and tax records.

How we store your personal information

The personal information that we process for any purpose or purposes will not be kept for longer than is necessary for the expressed purpose. We will retain your personal data as follows: Email address will be retained until you manually request to be removed from our mailing list. This data is stored for the purpose of processing or contacting the user, managing our relationships with customers, keeping records of communication with the user, and promoting my products and services to customers. IP addresses will be retained for a minimum period of 30 days and for a maximum period of 14 months. This data is stored to help us improve the Service, customise the user experience and make informed business decisions.
